“Unforgettable” is a painting born from moment that left an imprint on my soul. Inspired by the mysterious, grounding energy of Killeavy Castle Estate, this artwork captures one of those moments-those rare gifts that only certain places provide and that stay with us long after we’ve walked away.
With deep emerald, deep green and turquoise tones flowing upward through shadowy forest forms, this piece evokes misty woodlands, flowing rivers and waterfalls. The depth of colours drawn from nature-seen, felt and remembered- immersed and transformed into harmonious composition where heritage architecture meets a “new” contemporary addition. This visual dialogue between old and new deepened my unforgettable experience of this place.
There’s a rhythm to the brushstrokes-a sense of movement, memory and presence – honouring the emotional depth this land stirs within me.
It is a reflection of something too powerful to name and too beautiful to forget.
